Ferrari South Bay is thrilled to offer this pristine F430 16M Spider. For those who know, the 16M is the open top version of the 430 Scuderia - a car that won accolades around the world when introduced in 2009. However, the 16M was built to commemorate Ferrari's 16th F1 Manufacturer's Championship, and as with all their commemorative editions, it was very limited in number - only 499 were produced for the world - and only 120 came to the United States (it is estimated that only 105 remain stateside), ensuring this Ferrari is not only a brilliant sporting proposition, but a scion of exclusivity within the already highly-exclusive Scuderia. Containing all the track-oriented upgrades introduced on the 430 Scuderia, focusing the 16M's sporting intent is its race-tuned suspension, enormous carbon-ceramic brakes, and the F1-Superfast2 gearbox that pulls off a one-two shift in a mere 60 milliseconds. Thanks to a judicious weight-management program, the 16M weighs 200 lbs less than the "standard" F430 Spider. But it's that engine - the heart of EVERY Ferrari - that really tells the story here: the 16M packs a higher-compression version of the F430's 4.3-liter V-8, making 503 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque, accompanied by a visceral ripping wail that only a Ferrari can possibly provide and for which they are justifiably famous.
he exterior of this 16M is finished, appropriately, in the Rosso Corsa livery that has graced all but one of Ferrari's championship winners. Announcing its Italian heritage is a Tricolore Livery Stripe down the center. .
The interior is finished in Nero Black Alcantara, accented with Red Stitching, including the Carbon Fiber Racing Seats. The purposeful interior has metal diamond plate instead of carpeting. Carbon Fiber is everywhere in the cabin, including many pieces which were exclusive to the 16M: the interior Door Panels are works of Carbon Fiber art, while the Carbon Fiber Steering wheel was the first to feature Ferrari's now-signature LED shift lights. The Instrument Cluster, Dash Vents and Center Console are also finished in Carbon Fiber.
