Beginning the 25th season of the prestigious Ferrari Challenge North America racing series, Scuderia Corsa celebrated a banner weekend of competition, heritage, and performance during the 2017 opener at Laguna Seca Raceway. The team worked with sister companies, Ferrari South Bay and three other dealerships located in California, to deliver in front of a local crowd by taking five podiums throughout the weekend.

The highlight of the event was the racing debut of the new 488 Challenge car, the first car in the series to be equipped with a turbo engine and the most powerful car in Challenge history, thanks to 670 hp from the V8 3, 9-liter engine derived from the 488 GTB.
To top it off, the weekend was packed full of plenty of additional activities for Ferraristas to enjoy. VIP guests took in the racing action from the comfort of the spacious a hospitality suite located a top the hill, with a large patio overlooking the track. The hospitality suite gave guests the opportunity to share the experience with fellow Ferrari owners and racing enthusiasts while being wined and dined as only Ferrari can.
Ferrari South Bay’s invited guests got, exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Scuderia Corsa paddock where they were introduced to the drivers, cars, as well as Mattioli Automotive Group’s president, Giacomo Mattioli.
Ferrari owners who made the voyage to Monterrey had a special opportunity to drive their street cars on the famous “Corkscrew” during the client lapping sessions!
Ferrari also put on an impressive Concorso of historic and exceptional rare vehicles for attendees to admire.
